Mandatory reporting map
A proof-of-concept register for mapping mandatory and statutory returns — who owns them, where data comes from, and where assurance is strong or weak.
Demonstration caveat: This is a personal demonstration site using synthetic data. It is not an official Dorset HealthCare report and does not contain confidential or patient-identifiable information. All owners, statuses and sources are illustrative placeholders.
What this register demonstrates
A business partner needs more than a calendar of deadlines. This register maps each return by:
- Mandate source — statutory, contractual, regulatory or national standard
- Service trigger — which service line or pathway drives the return
- Owner — accountable team (not just "BI")
- Cadence — monthly, quarterly, annual or ad hoc
- Data source — warehouse, manual return, corporate system, etc.
- Production status — in production, needs validation, manual, under review
- Risk — consequence of error or delay
- Confidence — how sure we are about owner and process
- Documentation — link to authoritative guidance (placeholder in demo)
